We instantly fell in love with this place. We stayed in the town of San Pedro on the lake, which was a fun hippie- laid back town with a lot of personality. We were so content just chilling by the lake and taking in the skurfing (surfing behind a boat). It is a hollowed out volcano and surrounded by two three others, actually reminding me of Kalamalka Lake in BC.
